Cam Gear Dilemma
OK, I posted a previous thread, but I'm having a difficult time deciding which cam gears to go with after MUCH reasearch, which you all will see soon , I have found that there are at least 7 cam gears available:
AEM Tru Time +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt 1 degree increments
GReddy +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
Fidanza +/- 12 degrees 4 bolt 4 degree increments
HKS +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt (gay purple) tends to deteriorate quickly
JUN +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt 2 degree increments
OBX +/- 10 degrees 2 bolt?
STR +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
UR +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
Venom +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
that's what I KNOW about each gear
AEM Tru Time +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt 1 degree increments
GReddy +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
Fidanza +/- 12 degrees 4 bolt 4 degree increments
HKS +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt (gay purple) tends to deteriorate quickly
JUN +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt 2 degree increments
OBX +/- 10 degrees 2 bolt?
STR +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
UR +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
Venom +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt
that's what I KNOW about each gear

fidanza and titan are one in the same so I say fidanze FTW
I had titan's never had an issue and I made a lot of adjustments
and they also had hash marks for each degree on mine (don't know if the fidanza is diff pattern for that)

AEM Tru Time +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt 1 degree increments.. dont like AEM bolts
GReddy +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt..apparently designed for 1jz, not 2jz.. requires mods to timing cover
Fidanza/Titan +/- 12 degrees 5 bolt 1 degree increments..LOOKING GOOD.. thanks Eric
HKS +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt (gay purple) I like the colors actually.. had em.. eats belts
JUN +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt 2 degree increments.. the "Holy Grail" of cam gears for Supra guys
OBX +/- 10 degrees 2 bolt?..JUNK.. Aem copies.. but HKS (lack of) durability
STR +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt.. only used these on Hondas.. okay then
UR +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt .. well respected in the supra communityt.. pricey though
Venom +/- 10 degrees 5 bolt.. cool looking.. never used them

I think I'll be superficial here and go for looks:
I know the UR is sexy, and will match my pulleys real well
Never seen the JUN, pics?
Same for Fidanza, I've seen 2 pics, one good blue and one baby blue(not good)

The URs, from what Ive heard, are really great, I dont think you would be disappointed with those.

Yeah, I went ahead and ordered the UR's...Got em from NOPI for about 335 shipped....I figured I might as well have at least 2 parts from the same manufacturer....
