DG Trials: the only 1st Gen in this D event!
Looks like I am the only Lex owner on this event:
This is my setup, just waiting for some Tein flex coilovers (thanx Eric-rps13):
Wheels are Wedsport Novarys S type 18 8.5F~9.5R +29F +37R
I will post pictures after the coilover installation and during the event! I got free tires also from Ultraperformance.com because i am attending; so stay tuned!!
Excited? THE HECK I AM!!

Talking to me I guess? Well now that I have power i use the flick to throw it out and the throttle to keep it there..pulsing it just to keep the turbos spooled and the tires spinning. On tight courses, the e- brake comes in a lot, and no it is not easy being on the floor as a pedal. That is changing soon.
Now at this last event with a long entry run I was swinging it back and forth to enter the turn at the proper angle. Example.. it was a right hand long sweeper.. I would leave the start box, as soon as the turbos spooled, flick the wheel to the right, snap back to the left and then to the right again to enter the sweeper to the right. The challenge was to time the initiation to come into the turn at the correct angle and exit in position for the hairpin right hand switch back we made for the next turn, that then ran thru a series of "S's" winding back and forth. I will tell yo this.. weekly events are making a HUGE difference in my consistency.

my technique is speed and weight balance (feint). since i drift a hachi too (not very lately) I started fiddling with my lexus and would go like to 60 then feint the car about 5 yds before the apex, drop to 2nd and push the gas gradually- I was not using the e-brake because I thought it was imposible... on a stock suspension this really sucks because the car squats BUT you SURE get a lot of smoke and its very 'showy' because the car is too big BUT the exit speed is pretty slow because there is no power to back the weight down and also I don't wanna break the tranny... yet. On tight courses (like the DG trials I am attending) I simply do a 'braking' technique and fiddle with the gears and the power output. You gotta really watch the DB to understand certain terms.
Oh, Epik, how low is your car when in drift setup? also how stiff the struts? alignment? would you share some suspension setup? Thanx!!

I am on Racing Logic coilovers, and it's hard to say how low it is compared to stock. All I know is that from the wheel well to the ground is an average of 25" all around.
I run the same setup on the street and my Racing Logics are damper adjustable. 4 full sweep turns on the top of the strut from full soft to full stiff. I'm playing with the settings but right now I'm about 2.5 to 2.75 turns on the front and 3 turns on the rear. I change the damper settings according to course setup occasionally. Too stiff in the front and the car will understeer like a pig.. too soft and it will just body roll.
I'm in the process of designing a big rear sway bar for the car. Mine will be a lot simpler than the stock shaped bar b/c I no longer have a spare tire well to go around.. I can run a straight 90* on each end bar to some spherical bushed endlinks. That and the upcoming 6pt cage will do the job to flatten the car out and keep it that way. Once that is done I'm going to really setup the suspension with corner weight scales and learn to drive it once and for all
