What do you guys think?
I dont really have anything else that says "hey look at my car." So I'm debating wether to get rims or turbo first. My friend keeps telling me to get rims, but thats only so I can "keep up with him" and he doesnt even have rims yet and he probably wont till end of the summer...due to circumstances that I prolly shouldnt tell here.
Anyway, rims and tires = 1100+
Turbo parts = 1200+
I think by the end of summer I will have enough money saved up to have both, but I want one done by the end of june. Help me decide.

No turning back now. I picked up a SAFC2 from a local guy on the Houston-Imports forum. He was selling it for 250 and I got him down to 180, I think thats a pretty good steal, it works and everything, and its a Black one(more features or something).

$1100 for wheels AND tires? I can't imagine that gets you much... unless you are buying used stuff.
I'd save my money or go for turbo upgrades. I can't imagine $1100 gets a nice set of wheels.
Have you done suspension? How about a set of coilovers?

Either way, turbo will be in by the end of the summer. Rims may even be on by the end of summer, just depends how work goes.

I like the idea of getting rims that are wider in the back, if it's the case of prepping for power, then big width rims are a big way to keep it under control.
that's what I did with my gs, even though I never got around to making the big power to go with all the prep I did and getting the car the way I wanted it. (yes I owned the car for years and getting some things dialed in the way I wanted them took a lot of tweaking) that and I wanted to really know the car back and forth before I spent more then I paid for it in engine work.

I know what your saying and yes, bigger rims would be nice in the back, but its either one or the other right now. I think I can handle 300rwhp with the stock rims. I know better than to drive like an idiot with that much power. All the SC guys do it and they have no problems and I think their wheels are skinnier than ours(or the same)

I was saying you should get rims now and hold off on the turbo for a while.
but ya proper tires on the stock ones could do the trick, just the handling response if you get 17s or 18s is much better, no sidewall wiggles.
