if you drop this motor into the 1 gen gs, do you need new motor mounts or could you reuse the stock mounts? Also about the fuel system, do you need to upgrade the fuel pump or anything like that?

The mounts are the same however the lexus mounts are liquid filled rubber mounts that usually rip in half any time the engine comes out. Be prepared to replace them. You can upgrade to supra mounts which are steel and rubber, however you will need to drill out the mounting hole in the subframe a bit. This will lower the engine about .25 inch.

just bolts right up to ur stock mounts no mounts were upgraded for this car.
yea fuel pump is a must .. since its turbo u need a much faster pump.. but i would just go with supra tt or winboro (by wallboro) 255lph.. or supra tt 280lph thats what i have or should i say had

the final decision on my gs before it got killed was a chevy t56 and a crate 383, there is a company in alabama that does custom harnesses on anything they specialize in rx7s with v8s though.
and the motor mounts were no big, i was getting a lot of help from the ozzy guys on lextreme and just around on domestic boards, but it's very possible and the power yield and weight savings/balence is amazing.
