indy, where are you going to have the gte swap and for how much $? .... if you care to share.

I am in LA area, and I am thinking of doing the gte swap myself down the line. Or, find a way to put a Lexus V8.

Thanks.

i alrdy have a gte swap on my other car, 1992 sc300, and i am planning to do the same for my gs300. motor and labor will run you close to $8000...which includes everything that you can think of: piping, wiring harness, tranny, custom downpipe, front mount, new crank seals, etc...

swap will take about 1 month at least to complete. there is a shop in monterey park that can do the job well and which i highly recommend. it's called R1 motoring. Ask for raymund.

yes, 1 month since there is one guy that works at the shop...
he's also capable of doing all kinds of swaps but nothing crazy...like putting a v8 on a gs300.
sr20det's (nissan 240sx) and all honda swaps he can do.

all of his swaps come out very clean and finely tuned.

Not necessarily true. I had to extend just the cabin harness on my SC and on the GS I don't think I'll have to extend any of them. If I unclip the harnes from the motor clips and run it straight into the cabin it will reach. The ECU and cabin hook up are close but not perfect. I think an inch or two short. The good news is that they can be moved a little to reach. I'd rather refasten the ECU and harness input than extend wires. I'll let you know for sure in a few weeks.

I got my clip for $2500 shipped.

yea i kno maybe i went overboard with 24inches... but so far we've done 2 1jz swaps and only exted the body plugs and we left the Ecu harness the same length and let the Ecu hang under the glove... ive seen clips for 1900... supraforums. aristojunkies.... BAby!
