Default Car won't start *HELP*

Hey Everyone. As most of you know my alternator died 2 weeks ago and the parts finally came and i installed the alternator and all. Ok everything is good and all but when I go to start the engine all i get is clicks and the engine is not turning. I tried jumping the car and it is reading a good 13 volts and still won't start the car. HELP!!!!. what could be wrong? My car was working fine 2 weeks ago until the alternator died. and my car started just perfect before my alternator died. Thanks.

Double check the connections on the alternator if the battery connections are fine. Lastly, check the solenoid on the starter.

well. the car won't start so the cable from the alternator to the battery shouldn't matter. but anyways i just upgraded the wires to 4 gauge anyways so thats not the problem...

i'll check the wires on the starter though..... ummm where's the starter located?

Hmm... I am not near my car but if memory serves me correctly it is on the passenger side near the bottom of the motor under the headers/exhaust.

Tap your starter it sounds like the starter solenoid is stuck or going out the starter is on the right of the engine if your looking at it from the front of the car right under the tranny fluid dip stick, give it a good tap to see if you can get the solenoid to kick in.

hahaha. ok, i have to confess. i made a STUPID mistake. but car is all good now....

Ok so here's what i did. I upgraded the "the big 3".... Well the problem was the wire from the alternator. Well i don't know what i was thinking but i thought the wire from the alternator went straight to the positive side of the battery. So I ran that Wire and i cut the other wire that came up where the starter sits. I just thought it was the alternator wire so i didn't want it hanging around. well while i was trouble shooting i followed the lead of the original alternator wire and saw it ran in a different directing and went INTO the fuse box. GEEZZZ... why didn't someone tell me this. so basically i had the alternator wire ran straight into the + on the battery and i had cut the starter cable as short as i possible could. so i ended up upgrading/replacing the starter cable, the alternator cable. the cable that comes OUT of the fuse box and the groud. haha problem solve. now car runs super good.

If you took off some of the 2 Million lights you are/were so fascinated with... maybe you wouldn't have a problem!
