I got this 93' GS300 with a 1jzgte single turbo with a WTI Matching ecu and a 4 speed tranny out of a 1999 Toyota chacer out of japan. My #1 focus right now is i just bought this car and it dosent have a speedomitor and i talked to the guy that owned it and he said that the he would have plugged it in but there is zero plugs in this new tranny none at all no kind of speed sensor at all ! I dont know what to do! Im stuck and kinda ticked about it!

The speed sensor is on the passenger side of the trans near the tailshaft. It has 3 wires coming out of it. Yellow, blue with a red stripe and black. Yellow is 12v, blue/red is signal and black is ground. The sensor itself could be shot.

I had issues with the speedo on the 1JZ that I had in my SC. I accidently hit the signal wire with 12v and it blew the sensor out. Once I undid the three screws and put new electronics, it worked again. It took 10 minutes.

hopefully you got this problem worked out, the 1jz auto's all had a340e boxes, i'm fairly positive. My 1jz auto was out of a chaser, and it had a speed sensor.... i couldn't get the the tranny to shift though, so r154 it is.
