Smile Can u take your GS to the dealer?...

I'm so new to this guys.

My 1994 GS (171,000 highway miles) is a gift from my brother in law that lives out of state. He kept the car in excellent condition by taking it to the Lexus dealership where he lives. (He was the second owner, by the way) Does the car have to be under warranty in order to continue this service, or can u take an older model GS to the dealer at any time. Does this service "run out" or is their a charge for this service? I asked my Bro-in-Law but he's not 100% sure...? If any one knows for sure, holla back!

What warranty? Did this car come with an aftermarket warranty? Aftermarket warranties are valid at any SAE certified shop generally.

Well I guess I could be wrong about the warranty thing...the car has been in the family since 1997 and he's always taken it in to the local Lexus dealership...since I'm in a different state I wondered if it would be different...BTW-What does SAE stand for? Thanx Kaiser

Society of Automotive Engineers. It's a certification that mechanics can receive. I personally do all my own work, I don't like dealerships. Any dealer will work on your car, as to how nice they are to you on the price is going to vary GREATLY by dealer.
