White is nice but nothing will make the color of those rims pop like Black. I'd go with a dark graphite matallic. Some metallic to add character and still the dark shade to make the wheels pop.

 

I actually like the Navy Blue on the 1GS

 

I agree 100%. Although i would go with rims with a big fat lip on it!

Yeah, thats a cool color! There is a guy on here who i chat with on aim, he has the 2jzgte swap in his gunmetal car. Color is stealth.

Paint it black Pat.Yours will be the first VIP black car that looks Clean up in here in the 1st gen GS forum. I saw the mods.The car will put all black GS to Shame.Opps did I just give it away?

 

ide go with either the grey or the black, theres alot of black out there, so the grey would be pretty sweet, and unique

 

Nice wheels , I was looking at getting them for my Aristo. I think they looks great on the Blue colour you have now (something different). Anyway, it would be a head turner anywhere you go and if you drive at night; it would look like if your car is "black" with that dark blue.

 

The blue on the first-gen is a pretty rare color. My brother has one with the grey interior like yours. I'm a sucker for blue cars, so I'd keep it in the blue family, personally.

Frankly, most of the first-gen cars I see are black, so I could never paint one that color. I also see quite a few white ones and gold ones, but colrs are very rare.

We're goint to paint my brother's first gen later this year, so we might update the color a bit to something like the blue from the SC430. It has a little less green in it and a little more of a pearl look... should make the car look a little more modern.

If you're dead-set on doing black, I would encourage you to look at the Honda Nighthawk Black on the new Honda Odyssey; it's a dark blue, almost black. In the shade or at night, you would swear it's black... in the direct sun, it changes to a deep midnight blue metallic. I liked it so much we painted the roof of my second-gen GS that color. We added a little blue metallic... it is stunning!!!

 

well, guys i've decided what color im going to paint my car and it's barely going to the shop tomrrow, sept 23. so, ill be missing it for nearly 3 weeks. the color im going to paint is the code "1go". SMOKEY GRANITE MICA !!!
the color you see on the 2nd generation IS.
