Cool need help on performance issues

would an aftermarket intake/air filter really improve performance? becuase it seems to me lexus had this thing figured out, what do you guys think?

Exhaust first. No point on trying to pull more air in, if it's not moving out. But to answer your question, yes, it can help if that is the restriction.

I second the restriction thing but i would recommend a K&N filter. the stock air box comes standard tuned.

I managed to get a hold of a Blitz cone filter free of charge and installed it in place of the stock air box. I'm still on my stock exhaust but I definitely noticed an increase in throttle response.

I have use a Blitz SUS filter...outstanding.

However, definitely exhaust will get some gains. I use a ram air setup on my RX, but it takes roughly getting up to 3,000 RPM before that hits home at this altitude, 7,400 feet at my track.
