new member with some questions...
Just signed up to this forum today and ill admit im a complete lexus noob...
I used to be all about VW/ Audi, and after selling my last VW, a modded 01 turbo jetta, i decided i wanted something nice to cruise around in. I found a few first gen gs300's around here that ive come to like a lot, and i'm hopefully purchasing one soon.
I know most of you will probably say search but i figured id ask anyway
one of the gs's im looking at has 145k miles on it and its a 95, is this something to be worried about or are these pretty strong motors??
what are some good aftermarket lexus parts sites??
Ive found a few, one being l tuned? which seemed to have a lot of parts.....
last but not least, and this might sound kinda lame, but which coilovers go the lowest? i decided the first thing i want to do to the car when i purchase it, is slam it a decent amount, since i (a) hate stock soft suspension on any car, and (b) love the look of a dropped car...
Thanks for any help, and hopefully ill talk to a few of you more often as i get more active on this forum..

as long as proper maintenance has been performed, you shouldnt worry about high mileage on these engines
as for aftermarket lexus parts sites, check out the vendors section
not positive on which coilover lowers the most, i've got tein ha's and it's lowered ~ 3in

Welcome..Nice name.
The GS300 has the 2JZGE motor, so its pretty strong, just make sure it was well taken care of maintenance wise, and make sure its had all the necessary tune-ups and what not, if so it should last another 150,000 miles lol. Good luck with your search for coilovers and if you have any other questions, we'll be here.

Welcome to the Club. I bought my 93 GS300 with 206k on the clock, and proceeded to mod it up.. everything from intake, exh, SAFC, cam gears.. and finally zex nitrous. She took it all in stride. No worries, just make sure the recommended maintenance intervals were followed... timing belt, water pump.. etc.
