Also ive been told i can put in just the motor with the stock tranny i already have, is this true? if not whats the difference in the GTE tranny from the GE, and is the GTE tranny the same as in automatic supras??

Will i need to change the fuel pump or will the GE pump handle a stock GTE swap for a while?

What kind of RWHP can be made reliably with stock twins(with bolt on's such as exhaust,MBC,etc...), how hard is it to convert JDM to USDM (turbo's/injectors,etc..)and is there much of a power gain??

Where are you guys putting your gauges/SAFC etc... Is there a pillar pod for our cars or will one for another car fit? pics????

How many have stock rear end and how many have LSD?? Those with LSD where did you get it and how much was it??

Sorry for all the questions but i thought others might want the answers to these questions also.

I have a 93, stick with the original OBD1 because of wiring mod's. The GTE gear ratios is different from the NA. Also, you'll need the GTE ecu to shift it.

Fuel system.. pump, injectors... depends on the performance you are looking to achive. Aristo JDM's come with 440 cc's the USDM 2JZGTE came with 550cc.. (I fortgot) and they are straight swaps. you'll need the fuel controller to...

The LSD, MKIV's are running with the TRD torsen LSD. usually found on MKIV TT and Aristo TT's. No way to tell externally really..

As for reliable RWHP, boost with BPU's there's many write up on this subject in Supra Forums.

Gauges, many options here's all depends on what you want... stealth, show both.. etc... The pillar pods are distracting for me and also attracks too much attention as it is can be easily seen... I went large gauges and programmable alarms..

Just remember all about personal preference and budget. As for budget... plan to go over what you budgeted and then some...

Again, like many who have performed this swap and or turbo'd their NA' .........research.....research....... There are plenty of MKIV's running stock setup with BPU's and getting 500 + and more with minor upgrades.

good luck with your research and decision..

Here it is:

It was sold to some guys from Texas. It popped up on e-Bay about a year ago. I wonder who has it now.

I just purchased a gs300 with a jdm 2jzgte swap installed. The temp gauge will rise and then lower when accelerating. It looks like he has a factory radiator and factory fan, is this sufficient or is the problem elsewhere?

Is it the original hydro fan or has it been changed out?

It has one electric fan with a shroud that fits it. It covers maybe half the radiator. The car was also half a gallon low on coolant. So if the coolant doesn't fix it I'll will go with two aftermarket fans.

You must use two fans. I have 2 14" Zirgos. Each one is rated at 2760cfm. If I use just one I have the problems you described. With twin fans I have no issues on 115 degree days.
