2JZGTE GS300 Owners....how many besides me?
I just acquired a 2jzgte 93 GS300....Just kinda curious as to how many others are out there with the GTE swap.

me. yes i have a tranny cooler. i went cheap and got a Hayden from the parts store b/c my automatic will be short lived. 
did you buy that GTE'd GS from someone (as opposed to doing the swap on your GS)? I remember talking to someone I cant remember who that said they were selling their car to someone in TX.

Edit:.. I remember who it was.. car came from FL right? Nice green with Alstadts.. supah crean car!

Ok, I don't have one YET, but I did have the option to buy a full front clip from a 1992 Aristo imported from Japan, I just didn't have the "appropriate funding" =/ so I'm going to try to get the next one that comes in. I also want to do the swap myself but not really sure what's involved...

A How-To would be fantastic! I'd be greatful to get any direction what-so-ever. Now the guy that did buy the clip doesn't need the transmission from what I'm told so i was thinking about trying to see how much he'd sell it to me for and if it would be worth buying/installing

Ha ha ill post pics in a bit.
My first question has realy to do with the trans. I dont think that stock internal tranny cooler really liked the 1200 miles I put on it in 2 days. the O/D light is flashing at me...Do I check the codes by jumpering the terminals on the diagnostics box? which terminals? would the death of my speed sensor cause the O/D light to flash?
i notice that..even when the tranny level is cold, once the engine temp reaches just a hair above the 2nd hashmark, the O/D light flashes at me.
So i pull over and check the dipstick and it shows that the level is at Hot.
what the deuce? it didnt do this for the first 7 hours of my road trip.
