Default New car, need a bit of help

Hi guys im signing in from Australia

Just imported myself an Aristo and received it today. Its very nice and clean, check pics out here:

Ive done a bit of a search and now im after advice on a few things. Firstly the fuel gague isnt moving at all, i put $50 in and its still sitting below 0.

Is this a common problem and what do you guys recommend to troubleshoot/fix it?

Secondly the parker light on the passenger side isnt lighting up, the driver side one does just not the other. Ive checked all the fuses and they seem fine so i suspect its the globe. Is the globe a toyota only item or do you think I could find a suitable replacement at an auto electrician?

Cheers

could be just the fuel guage itself, or it could mean the fuel pump was out of the tank at some point and the float which determines fuel level is not functioning. i would bet on the guage itself. shold be able to order a replacement, but take it somewhere to have it done if you are not familiar. static discharge can fry the cluster if you are not careful.

and it sounds like the bulb (globe?) is out..easy fix.. any parts store chain should have them.

hey nice find, and welcome.. make sure the gauge is plugged in. sounds silly but you never know what goes on during shipment. just pull the liner down that dresses the front of the trunk up, the tank is right behind it and look to see if the connector is good to go. it is right there and only has 2 wire, it is the smaller plate on the tank itself. easy troubleshoot before you dig in to the dash or tank. hope it fixes it.

ps: what is up with all you aussies buying the 1gens from here

thanks okiaristo for the advice, pulling back the rear trim showed the guauge wasnt plugged into the tank so fixed in all of 2 min.
