k..my during my road trip, my speedo went out and along with the speedo went the odometer. they all stopped working together...so i have no working speedometer and no working odometer.
of course, im pulling tranny code 42 (#1 speed sensor).
when both units fail, is this the cause of the sensor or can this be something else say...something in the dash? does the death of a speed sensor also cause the ODO from working as well?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If so, its the #1 speed sensor, This happened to me about a year ago I changed it and until now both (Speedo & ODO) work fine.

If it's super expensive I can cannablize the GE trans I have sitting down at the dyno. The sensor should be the same. I put a Soarer auto speed sensor on my W58 when I blew one out. Worked fine. LMK.
