Default "TRAC" light comes on and off often??? HELP!!!

I drive a 93 GS, and when I start it, the "TRAC" light is not on, but while I am driving, the light will come on and stay on for a while, or just come on and off real quick. But it happens everytime. Has anyone else had this problem, or know what this might mean??????

I have the same problem too. There was a post about a month ago or so regarding this topic and I started one as well. Evidently no one had figured it out cause there wasn't any replies on what it could be. It'd be nice if someone whos tackled this problem before step up and help us.

Did you guys check your error codes?

I also have the same problem, but with my case, once TRC is on, it stays on until I'll restart. Sometimes both lights are on. (TRC off/TRC) Pulled a error code from the ecm... It was a throttle body position sensor, the smaller one. Didn’t change it yet.. Its only a problem when you floor it on slippery surface.

You first need to check for ABS / TRAC diagnostic codes. Look under hood for the diagnostic connector. Jump terminals E1 - TC
Under the connector cover it will diagram which pins are E1 and TC
I would be willing to bet it has a TRAC code of 43 and ABS code of 54
This is the most common TRAC malfunction. It indicates the trac pump motor running too long which is usally caused by a small brake hose leaking underneath the brake master cylinder that connects to the trac pressure accumulator.
Post you codes and lets see.

Still small brake hose?

Sasakura, for what it's worth, I continue to have the same problem as you, and I think I replaced the host that "justfixit" is referencing. Look at this pic here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...t=connector+R3

I think it's the hose on the left. Part # 90947-06009 for a pressure host, list $68.75, net $57.29 and Part # 90301-13011, quantity 4 of Orings list $5.93, net $5.93.

Am I correct "justfixit"? Are we talking about the same hose?

Thanks,

Brian
