Unhappy Blown rear main seal

I just found out that my rear main seal is blown. At 142,000 miles, I guess it sounds normal. While they are working in that area, is there anything else that can be done, any routine maintenance?
Thanks,
Jon

I had a major service two years ago when I bought the car, but I don't have the records with me at work. I'm sure I would have had it changed because the history was mainly unknown.

I just thought about it and they will have to drain the fluid anyway to pull the trans. It's included.

Ok. What about the trans filter? I don't know anything about these trannys, do the filters ever need replacing?

There is a screen in the trans. You can have them pull the pan and inspect for excessive debris on the magnets and clean the screen. That would be good maintainence.

Sounds good. I'll be sure to have them do that.
Thanks for the info.

There is no trans pan gasket. It's RTV.
