Default lights out on speedometer needle, tach too

On my 95 gs300 with 130k, the speedometer and tachometer needles are not lit up anymore. They flickered till their death. I find it rather difficult to read the speedometer now. What are my options to fix this problem? replace the needle? entire instrument panel? replace some other part?

Thanks
Sam

I just sent my cluster to OLT last week to revamp the needles and upgrade the backlighting.

There is one other place on the net somewhere but they charged like 5-600 bux. OLT at Lextech is the best place. Plus he calibrates (to the best of his ability) the needles. Trust me when I say you want that. I pulled mine off because they were burnt out, I put in some JDM ones that came with a clip.
They dont work becuase they are reverse polarity. And since I was unable to calibrate them, the speedo was way, way off. I got a ticket about two months ago and then my wife got one about three weeks ago. Enough is enough... When I get mine back ill post pix.

I forgot to add yesterday, you can have him do everthing to GS needles that he does to SC needles now but only in red. They dont do the smd anymore, just the waterfall design.

Shouldn't that mean that it would be less than the SMD kit, which according to the website, is now discontinued. I emailed him and asked him about the SMD needles, or just any needles for my car, and all i got back was a generic email response that had no useful information in it. How much does it cost for needle parts/replacement for a first gen GS300?

They are cheaper. Same pricing as the SC needles. 99bux
and the backlighting was 129.
