Hi,

i have a GS300 ,1994 .As the factory fixed car audio dose not support MP3
i am planning to upgarde the car audio.I was suprise to know that i can not reuse the amplifier and cd-changer with any of the car audio currently available in market.
i cheked with Best-buy and Circuit City.They recommended to bypass the amplier and cd-changer.

Is their anyway i could use the amplifer and cd-changer.

Any Headunit you use will have enough power to run the door speakers, I dont know why you would want to use the stock amp. The only thing I can see is to run the subwoofer. It would be alot easier to add an amp(not to mention the sound would be clearer), then it would be to try and run it from the stock amp.
Search Stereo install if you want to attempt it yourself.

Change everythin out and call it a day! (If your installing it yourself) If you get a deck and new speakers, might as well spend a few 100 bills and get something nice.

If you don't get a speaker amp, you can definetely run them off your deck but not the sub. (From my experience, Alpines are very good at powering speakers compared to other brands)

I changed everythin out in my car and just got done building my box and now it sounds EXCELLENT
