Help: Greddy FMIC for Aristo.
I ordered a FMIC from greddy. The instructions are in japanesse, has anyone installed one of these kits onto a 1st gen lexus GS? I have the Aristo motor swap in my lexus GS now. In the japanesse instruction it shows a picture of a line that looks like its to remount the power steering lines. But I dont have that pipe/hose in the kit. I got the kit from greddy so i'm thinking maybe for the Aristo it doesnt need that remounting hose/line? I do however have a black rubber hose which I was told by a friend that it might be to re-route the radiator overfill lines. Any help is appreciated..

I have yet to start taking off the bumper for the FMIC installation. I will most likely start this weekend. I was looking for anyone who has done this installation before so I can get any heads up information that would be useful before I go ahead and begin the project. Someone who is running a Greddy FMIC please respond to this thread...

Greddy FMIC for the JZS147 mounts directly to the top cross member and two lower screw holes. You have to remove the veritcal support and the bottom screw holes you to go to ACE hardware and get yourself stainless steel bolts, washer, nut and locking nut. The mounting will be secured. Considering the power and my use, we had to find a better way to secure the FMIC so instead of using the 3 point mounts intended, two brackets were welded on so the FMIC will not move.
Your OE front bumper support and absorber will need to be removed. You can modify the support bumper but you will need a bandsaw. Take your time on this measure twice cut once. Or you can have one fabricate but the factor one and some modification is the way to go. Without it, you'll have a pretty expensive bumper support on a 5 mph hit or when some idiot backs into your front bumper.
As for the power steering, not a big issue driver side you will see the orignal cooling pipes, you'll replace them with the one in the kit. it will mount on the side of the radiator tower. look at my posts I think you can see it if not let me know and I'll send you a picture. One more thing, when you diconnect the hose, make sure you plug or kink the hose to prevent the oil from coming out. I replaced my hose with silicon as the OE was getting old when I did it.
Hope that helps....
