The wiring harness to the cabin is nothing like the SC. You need to figure out how much your time is worth. If it adds up to more than a plug and play Aristo clip then you know what to do. I got a half cut shipped to my door for $2500.

depending of the source of the 1JZ, it should be no problem if it is from a jzx100 chaser BUT BE WARNED, this is a wiring job. AND I MEAN A JOB! U would need a custom downpipe and exhaust tho.

Sport Compact Car had an article about this swap and it is definetly helpfull if you are stuck with the 1JZ. I personally, if I was building a drift gs (i will someday) I would get a manual front clip off of a JZX100 chaser/cresta/Mark II, gut the lex, build a roll cage with all custom gauges and make it 5-speed. But that's just me.

I own the car that was used in the sports compact car write up and iv gone through everything in this car! I would not have wanted to do this swap! its just a hassle getting all the info all the diograms were in japanees and to get all the luxuries back to working it take some smart time in spliceing

no cos the plugs are different and the pins are different. If u want a simple and straight forward less time consumming minor modification swap, just sell the 1JZ and please get urself a stock JDM aristo swap. U won't regret it.

El Capitan: so for reals you own that car? How can u describe the treatement Toysport gave u? I have heard a bunch of trash about them but I rather take something from somebody that has dealt with them personally; thinking of getting my 20V Silvertop built there since Taka Aono deals with this shop personally.
