I was wondering if a 6 disc cd changer from a 96 ES300 will work properly on my GS300 without any wiring modifications. I have the Nakamichi sound system and 12 disc changer currently. I appreciate any help or suggestions. Thank you.

You have a Pioneer system. Nak wasn't available in Lexus until 1995. I suggest yanking out the stock head unit and get one that either plays MP3's that you can create from your discs, or has changer control that you can add.

Frankly, I'd just get an Ipod/MP3 player input head unit and save yourself the hassle. They won't skip and you can carry a lot more music than a changer can, besides...you have more trunk space then. But of course, that's just a suggestion as well. Good Luck.

Rather than post a new thread...I thought that I'd quickly ask a question about a new CD changer. I have a 93 GS and I purchased an FM modulated changer (I'm aware of the audio limitations x_X). My concern is that it operates between 88.1 to 89.9MHz. That particular end of the dial is rather busy with radio stations in my area, all of which are within 5.4 miles. Has anyone had experience with FM modulated changers in this manner and if so, how susceptible are they to interference? I have not yet made an appointment to install it, so any feedback would be very helpful...thanks

LOL Nakamichi sound was available in Lexus from 1989. The Pioneer sound you have in your Lexus was a model downgrade compared to Nakamichi which was optional as Pioneer was standard sound equipment.
