Alright I've never felt so out of whack when working on a car ever. I bought a new brake light because my light came on in the car and i went to change it and lost did i become. I have no idea what i'm doing. if anyone could tell me how to do that it would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem...the dash light keeps coming on but the lights are still working. I think it's an early warning sensor that your lights will be completely out any day now.
I just went ahead and had them changed. Try Strauss, Pep Boys or whoever your local auto shop is. The bulb costs about $4-5.

do you guys have the stock tail lights or the jdm ones?
i have jdm ones and the rear light indicator in the instrument cluster comes on only when the i turn on the lights and step on the brakes.
i think, but don't quote me yet. the problem might be the wire assembly (if you have the jdm tail lights) because i used the u.s. wiring on the tail lights, but left the japanese wiring on the garnish.
when i swap the wires out ill let you guys know the outcome.
hope this helps

This is also happening to mine I think there may be differences with the newer bulbs. I've replaced all the rears with all new ones and still the same results.
I'm still looking into it if I find anything further and sensible I'll share it.
Hope anyone else who experinced this and figured it out also chimes in.
