stock turbo pressure on aristo. i think i know why my car isnt moving. today i measured turbo pressure. when accelerating up to 4000rpm everything is normal ( 0.6bar ) and after 4000rpm i can hear strange noise from turbo nr2. When i put turbos on the engine i tried both of them for shaft play. First one had a litlle bit to big but the other one was okay.
i think my turbos are gone....

before you do anything too technical make sure that noise you are hearing is not coming from the firewall cuz if you didn't beat the firewall enough everytime you hit boost the motor will flex and twist a little and that rear turbo will hit the firewall and you will hear a vibrating noise from up there I got that same problem and i gotta figure out how to make more room. if your turbo was damage you will probably hear it at all time when the motor is running not only when you hit boost. it could be possible, but CHECK THE FIREWALL FIRST.

Its not the firewall,it must be turbo. As i checked upto 3800rpm boost is OKAY (0.6Bar) and when that noise come boost goes to 0bar. so that must be it.

Ok questions that haven't been asked or answered, will a 2jz vvti aristo trans work with a non vvti aristo ecu? I am swapping this into my 95 GS. Isn't the vvti trans a 5sp and the non a 4? I bought my non vvti 2j w an r154 and my vvti with auto trans. The vvti went in my IS w W58 for now and the non vvti went in my s14, but I have decided to go a different route w the s14 so I'm pullin the gte and going to use the vvti auto in my 95 gs300. Complicated, I know! And how well will the intercooler kit for a supra fit in the GS?

What's the ideal or best Intercooler size to use without cutting or hacking anything?

Yes the non vvti is a 4 speed with overdrive, and the vvti is a 5 speed. But I'm not positive about the ecu I need this info as well cuz I'm about to do a swap on an 03 gs300 and I'm worried about loosing the e shift and traction control. A supra intercooler should fit with minor modifications. I haven't used one but I don't see why it shouldn't. The intercooler on my jzs147 is actually a S14 intercooler and it fited just right.

How is it that doing a manual conversion is so rare on the forums???? Or is there not enough people on the forum who have posted about it in the threads?

People who do the swap pretty much focus on doing the swap and forget to take pictures. I know, it sounds lame, but it happened to me too. I also got 95% through my swap and kinda changed my mind, and ended up selling most of the goodies, and abandoned the project.

I may go back top the 5-speed swap later, I haven't decided yet.
