Hi,
This sounds crazy but I don't want to break the plastic rivets or clips that hold the top part of the trunk liner in place. Do I need a special tool to pop these out? Or can I pry them out with a screw driver? They have a black X shaped little handle but I can't pull them out with my hands.
I just don't want to break them.
Any advice?
Thanks,
E

Done. Thanks. One of them broke off - but the rest pretty much popped out.
Replaced the supports - they have so much push that they have caused my trunk to lift up slightly making an uneven edge to the body (when it's closed) maybe it will settle back in with time as the supports lose gas?

I got them off of ebay for $39.95.
They aren't exact (they don't have the small lip that keeps them locked in place at the back of the trunk) but they are pretty close and stiff as a mother. Do a search for
Lexus GS300 / LS400 Trunk Lift Struts Yr: 1991 ~ 1995 and you'll find em.
