Default Please Help! Key broken!

I have one key for my 96 GS. The key is literally breaking apart from usual wear and tear. What are my options? Do I just buy a key off ebay and get a locksmith to program it? Go to Lexus dealer? I don't know what to do. Please help. Thanks!

Are you serious? Yes, I do have the factory alarm. $280!!!! Are there any other options? I don't want to fork out that much for a key!

I just fixed both of my keys by purchasing 2 blanks off ebay and giving my keycode (on the credit card key) to the seller. He cut them and sent them to me.. and I just had to move my remotes over. Cost me $65 total shipped for both blanks and cutting service. They worked great and I saved a LOT of $$$. The seller was "transponderisland"

keep in mind that my car is a 98gs.. so it might be different for yours. please disregard if they are different.

If you can deal without having the alarm remote, you can get a plain key at the locksmith for about 10bux.
I have an aftermarket alarm so its no prob.
