can be done, but you lose the oil squirters that you get in the GTE block - I've heard of people drilling the squirters in the GE block. Are you planning to change the crank/rods/pistons as well? As the GE runs much higher compression than the gte - they don't take kindly to running the same levels of boost that the GTE can.

Maybe just do an NA-T?

you wont run into much problems, but i believe the pistons in the GE block are not near as strong as the ones in the GTE block.

The ge and gte block are the same for except the lower piston oil squirt and the ge head flows more than the gte head.

why not just turbo the motor? the way i was thinking is that if you going to use the stock twins, it wouldn't be as fast or fun then turboing it, plus less hassle. for the ge motors, i seen a few stock ge blocks hitting 8 and 9 at the track, but i do live by dave henry, sure the ge motors aren't as strong as the gte, but it's not that much a fall off.

Honestly, I'd just get a JDM Aristo front cut ( I think you guys call them a front clip) and drop that in along with a fmic and exhaust and some extra boost.

The old saying holds true "do it once, do it right"

Or you could just move to Australia and get a JDM Aristo

There are some other cost associated with this swap. You'll obviously need the intake and exhaust manifolds. You'll need to run a different ignition setup or whole ecu since the GE uses a distributor and the GTE runs on coilpacks. Not out of necessity but you would have distributor and turbo clearance problems unless you ditch the stock twins.

It's the headgasket thickness that makes the biggest difference. The GTE is much thicker.
