Default I need info please......

Ive been searching the site for about 2 hours now...i remember a 1st Gen GS300 that had 3 JL audio subs mounted on/to his rear deck. Thats what im trying to do because i hade to loose my spare. If anyone know who im talking about..did he basiclly build a wall to seperate the subs from the rest oof the trunk? Or did he leave it free air? I was thinking of the wall theroy or just building a box for each sub. can anyone help? i think the car was black or dark blue...if im not mistaken he had a pic of himself sitting out the sunroof doing about 70mph...lol (i might be talking about two diff. people also)

That Gs had practically the whole rear deck cut out and rebuilt. The previous owner had a plexiglass box built to house 3-JL audio 10W6 subs that fire directly into the cabin of the car. This is the only way to really get REAL GOOD sounding bass into the car..You can build a ported box with 3-12's and it wont sound as good as a custom box firing directly into the car because of the gas tank..I have built a box that was molded to the shape of the gas tank out of fiberglass and had the speaker firing directly into the car and it sounded amazing for 1-12" with only 200 watts..Of course the box was 1.25 cu.ft of air..Good luck on this install because it will be costly if you pay a shop to do it and if you do it yourself it will be very time consuming..
