ABS lights came on and then.....
Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone ever ran into an issue like this before. I washed the car this weekend, nothing new, then took my date out for dinner, on the way back, the ABS lights came on, and the battery light came on right away as well. Didn't want to make a big deal of it, so decided to get off the hwy. long story short, I came to a stop sign off the hwy, and all of a sudden everything stopped working. Replaced the battery the 2nd day with another Optima Red top just like the one before. Started it right up, but later in the day while driving less than 50 miles, the same thing happened. ABS light, Battery light, cluster got dime, Navi (Pioneer AVIC Z1) kept flickering and then stopped, driving lights and brake lights went out, and then when I slowed down to stop, it died. I can jump the car, but the NEW battery won't even hold a charge for more than a minute:
Any ideas where this short might be?

It happened to me. its the alternator. you probably had some oil that notoriously leaks on the alternator fall on it and killed it. It is easy to take off and install. 45 minutes max.

How do you fix the notorious oil leak? I just bought a 93' and the guy said he put in a new alternator the week before I got it. I think the alternator just went out on me.
