What about a Blitz logic replacement. Plenty of room for turbo there. If you stay Gen 1 hows about looking into an aristo from japan with very low miles? Options options.

My brother works for an autobody shop and one of his co-workers has a connect at one of our local junkyards here and that's where it came from

Get a front clip, theres one in the classifieds section right now, only 50-60k miles for 2800 you cant beat that price for trans and motor

My transmission was rebuilt at 162k after it would not shift past 3rd. It does not feel the same - shifting from D or N to R lags a little.

My original trans has 220K and shifts so smooth that you can barely feel it is 1993 year I guess I got lucky.

Actually the tranny in the first gen (and in most Lexus) is very reliable. My friend who's a Lexus tech said in his 8 yrs of working for Lexus, he has only seen 8 transmissions fail.

Does anyone know if the SC300/SC400 tranny will work in our cars?
