Default 1st gen and 2nd gen suspension interchangeable?

Does anyone know if the 2nd gen coilovers will fit 1st gens? Chassies are almost the same and would think that no suspension changes were made.

Fellow CL member twojayzee did this on his car. It seems that there was some custom-fabricating involved but doesn't seem that extensive

here's a link to his thread...

just incase people don't want to read the whole thing, it looks like 2nd Gen fronts and Supra Rears will work.

AWESOME!!!

I wish I still had the pictures to host for you guys. But yes the fronts bolt in. I had some rear adapter plates made and custom welded the stock eyelets to the lower mount, but later found out that the supra rears work. Im going to eventually purchase the supra upper mounts from tein.

Which stances are you lookin at ? They look pretty expensive. You could get ones that are made for the jzs147
Will they sell you the supra rears and gs fronts ? Watch for the spring rates also.

from what i understand JZA80's are identical to the JZS147 suspension and most companies list them as the same when marked for sale.

Anyone confrim this? I've looked at them and they look the same to me.

I can confirm this. The mounts on the fronts are not the same.
