Numerous reasons for a car to overheat.

Low pressure (leak)
Fan not working(clutch shot)
blow head gasket
bad water pump
thermostat stuck

my friends GS300 did the samething, i had to change the waterpump. when i took the waterpump out, i found out that the blades inside where not turning. but i also changed the thermostat due to the car been overheated. and i also changed the radiator.

The same thing just happen to me, do a pressure test and see if you have a leak first, then go from there.

Start small work your way up from there. Coolant cap>T-stat>water pump>radiator.
