I got my car washed. They put my floor mats back in a sloppy manner. I was driving back home and hit the accelerator hard at one point. Well to my surprise when I put the pedal to the floor, my pedal tucked under my floormat! The pedal held down right before I had to turn a curve in the road. I almost hit the rail guards! My first thought was the throttle cable got stuck. I hit the brakes but it was still hard to stop. I panicked and put it into neutral but then the engine kept revving to the RPM cutoff. I ended up turning the ignition key off and pulled over immediately. In this case, neatness does count. I don't have the plastic peg that holds the mats to the hole in the floorboards. Keep the floormat away from the pedal!

My buddy years ago had that paper mat the dealer place on the floor when there servicing your car, ball up under the brakes and bumped me at a stopped light. No damage to our cars but I was like what da *#^k!
