I'm sure this has com up a few times already. I searched but with no luck.
how do you program a new key to work on our cars? Same FCC ID #, and new battery? I called the dealer down the street, they said they wanted $350.

There is a card in the transponder in the trunk that matches your key. It's interchangeable between modules but won't match the key unless it's programed for it.

I cant seem to find it but there is a PDF floating around on here that tells how to do it.
