Fan Clutch? Bad Valvue or Bad Thermostat?
Driving back in heavy traffic yesterday, A/C is on and set to 70F and low (outside temp 95F), everything is ok, besides the stop and go traffic, all of a sudden my temp gauge starts raising. I wonder since I had my pressure checked and radiator flushed last weekend. I pull over, no smoke from the radiator (so radiator is still good since its less than a year old), but coolant in the reservoir is bobbling and HOT!
Got the car home. This morning before I started the car, No coolant left, I spun the fan to see if its the fan clutch, I felt some resistance, but I'm not sure.
what do you guys think?!? and anyone know how much those parts cost? and if they are hard to replace?

Start with the easy stuff. Start the car and turn on the AC. Verify the electric fans are spinning. Next let it heat up to operating temperature and check the hoses. Are they both firm? Is the top firm and bottom soft? Could it be a small coolant leak reducing your coolant pressure causing you to over heat?

fans are spinning, no coolant leak, and I checked the top hose, and it was firm since i changed it last weekend with the flush... couldn't get to the bottom one since I'm still in my work cloths, i will check it later.

here is an update on this. I added more radiator fluid to the car, and i have been driving on it for a couple of days. No problem. Last night i went to pick up some friends from the airport, and on the hwy, the temp started rising again? so i pulled over and checked, same thing, the fluid bubbling. We let it sit, and then add a little more fluid, and drove back 30 miles, no problems
So now, I'm really confused
