hi everyone i have a question for those who have the 93 gs300 or any of the first gen. how does your factory theft deterent works? does it chirps or lights flashing when activating. or no sound's or light's at all. just the door lock activating? im curious if that's just the way they are.cuz mine dont do nothing but lock the doors. but when you try to open the door without dis-arming then theft deterent the alarm horn's goes on.is it possible to get my horn/lights working when alarm is activated. thanks!

Many earlier model Lexus are like this. My 93 sc300 was like this too. You had to literally listen for the door to lock/unlock. Easiest solution would probably be to have an aftermarket alarm installed.

I have a 93 and there was no audible confirmation of a lock or unlock when pressing the button on the key. The lights do not blink either. Mine stopped working anyway and I put in an after market alarm.

The horn is all you get with the factory alarm, but its pretty loud if you ask me.
And yes you can tie into it with a module to make the lights flash but only when the alarm is activated.

where can we get that module?^^^ by the way does anyone have a viper alarm with the LCD remote?

Ill find out about the module. I do have the viper 791vx w/as

edit: I just spoke to a friend who owns a shop. He said you could tie into the factory alarm horn output and tie it into the parking lights with a regular 30a spdt relay and a diode for the cv.

lol im sorry i have no idea what that means. thanks again though. i think i might invest in the viper w/as. i am really attracted though to lexus's beep as the alarm is engaged and disengaged rather then nissan and hondas horn. anyway to get that?

thanks for the info twojayzee. ill try to talk to the alarm guy that work's for our dealership.maybe he can do something.
