Default Spark Plugs

Yeah, I know I just started another thread not too long ago, but I have yet another problem that doesnt pertain to my other thread.

As we were gettin to the spark plugs today, we pulled the wire off the #6 plug and guess what...OIL SWEET OIL! Yeah, right, I couldnt believe it. The valve cover gaskets had been leaking for, what appears, quite some time now. So, the car is sitting at work yet once again, waiting. Hopefully Toyota will have the valve cover gaskets in stock.
Anyway, just thought everyone should know that when changing your spark plugs you may as well change the valve cover gaskets, its only a few more bolts and its totally worth it to avoid any kind of headaches.

what kinda of issue have you had?

I suspect my valve cover leaking as well which in turn seapped into my alternator leaving me stranded in St. Louis. Is this not something you can get at NAPA?

I called both autozone, and oriellys, no NAPAs close to me. They both said they would have to order it, but I called Toyota this morning and I am gonna get it today.
Ive had no issue as far as the oil causing any problems, but if I had pulled the spark plugs, the oil would have drained into the plug and woulda caused some bad stuff. You can change the gaskets, its easy, it just takes a while to get the damn intake manifold off.
