Default Turbo on a budget? EX: sticking stock supra twins on a GS300

Hello everybody. I have finally decided that I am going for the GS300 for my daily driver. However, I always love something that has some power. It makes driving much easier, effortless and fun. I am not looking for some 400 whp monster. The car will not be raced, tracked, or put in any type of competition.

I just want to add some nice power for a fun and roomy daily driver. I thought of sticking stock twins and a stock intercooler from a Supra TT sounded like a feasible idea. They are dirt cheap and easy to come by (since every supra now pretty much has an upgraded turbo). I will probably even leave the stock exhaust on. Hell, I have 2 Toyota intercoolers lying around my garage I was planning on tossing out. I just want my car be quick enough to see at least high 14's. I was thinking since the 2jzge motor is a higher compression motor, I can do some maintenance (timing belt, etc) and replace the head gasket with a thicker one while I am at it.

What do you guys think of this idea?

Or is a complete 2jzgte automatic Aristo swap a better deal?

even turboing the existing NA 2J will be project, and then you have to worry about the tranny being able to hold up. 400hp i think?....

NA-T

oil lines
ECU/AFC
electric fan?../
wastegate/bov/etc etc...

just alot of pieces to gather up. unless you get a boostlogic setup ^_^.
but thats like 2k-4k anyways.

so i'd just swap. or just keep it as is for a DD. 2cents.

The stock twins won't fit without changing to a GTE head.

JDM GTE's are easy to find and very reasonably priced IMO. Plus they are easy to make BPU
