Default My Free Yellow Fogs

Well here they are. after searching everywhere for yellow fogs and i was even about to get the yellow spray, i thought of a way for me to make them Yellow!

my dad rents out Dj equipment and lighting so i went into the garage and saw these:

then i thought to myself...i could use those lens for my fog lights! since those llights are extremely hot they would be fine for some 55w fogs.

so i went to my car, and pulled out the fogs

put them in the oven at 300 for about 5 minutes and pried them apart.

I removed the metal thing from the inside using snips.

I then got a piece of paper and traced an outline of the inside of the foglight.

I cut out the exact shape onto the yellow lens.

I then stuck it into the INSIDE of the lens.

I then reheated everything up and stuck everything back together and put them back on.

here are my results:

Lights off:

lights on:

for those who want to know how much these lens costs. its about 4 bucks for a 7 pack

I was at a concert and some yellow lights were shining into my eyes and I got this idea. But I already have yellow fogs. Nice work.

yep the car came in green, i restored it and repainted it medium blue at earl shieb for $480, im planning on going either white or a darker blue next summer if i have the time. i always wanted to do my own paintjob so i might try it. I think i can do a better job than earl shieb haha

I dig the color of your car.
Dont underestimate how hard it is and how much material and equipment cost if you want it real nice. But earl sheib....ewww
I had maaco do my first car. It looked like ***, even with the presidential special which was 799.00 16 yrs ago. I have had all my cars custom painted since then. On average I spend 1200+ in materials and prep work doing it with a friend at his collision center. Not to mention the countless hours getting the body straight, aligning gaps and shaving things.

edit: the quality of the gun is not everything but is certainly important. Some of the sata jet hvlp's are bank. Its easy to spend close to or over a grand
