Well you could always try a mk4 supra auto ecu and manufacture up a manu button to control the first three gears manually like a mk4 supra has. My aristo is fitted with an AEM now and that allows me to control all of the gears at all times. The problem you will get on a road car with an aftermarket auto changer is this. When the standard ecu changes gear it pulls timing and I think fuel to smooth the gear change. The aftermarket jobs don't and can't do that. It makes for very slammy changes and is the reason that AEM themselves say that no toyota auto box is strong enough to take an aems changes for long.

Hmm, good point. Hopefully the Supra stick gives the option to maintain the original ECU settings if desired. I'll have to look at that, because I still have to take the wife and kids in it sometimes. Otherwise I'd have a different car.
