I was just thought of this based on the previous post but i wanted to bring it up here so i could get a response.

I've never had keyless entry but from what I hear all 1st gen GS have them. All I have what seems to be a spare key. My question is, where can I get them cut, and if possible can I program a key fob myself or do I have to take it to the dealer for all that?

1st gen GS keys dont have security chips in them. The factory fob has a remote for the factory alarm. If you can deal with actually using a key to unlock the door, you can use a regular key blank. Most regular locksmiths can cut them. I picked up a pair at my locksmith for 12bux cut and they work fine. There only backups anyway. I use my aftermarket alarm to unlock the doors anyway.

well my intent is to get a couple (depending on price) key FOBs/Blanks and get them cut and programmed for the alarm/keyless entry.

still seeing if its possible to program with out the dealer (alarm/keyless)

There is a PDF with instructions floating around on the forum somewhere. Maybe try the 2nd gen forum. Sorry I cant be of more help.
