to remove push down the plastic trim piece under the shifter, then you'll see two screws, undo them and lift the shifter up.

my car is dirty i live and work out of it about 10 hours a day , had it barely 2 months and put 8,000 miles.
on my 94 gs300 , i pulled the wood grain along with the metal sheet that was under it off, sanded down the plastic some then put a couple coats of flat black, 'look way better than it did', also the leather wrapped around the shift **** was torn and looked like crap, so i just tore the leather off. their is some nice flat black looking rubber under there. another one of those 'looks way better than it did' and cost 0$ plus 3$ for a can of paint and about 1 hour of time.i still need to do something about the rest of the wood trim garbage in my car. my car had a bad heater core when i got it,(still is bad trying to find a replacement without getting one from satan) and it has practically ruined the carpet i had pulled all the seats out and scrubbed it down with carpet cleaner made the car look and smell nice for about 3 weeks, but i think im going to end up having to just replace the carpet.

So there's one option. Anyone else? I'm really interested in our options for shift *****. I have to admit that the stock is just plain ugly. I'm tired of forcing myself to just deal with it.

My bad, haven't been on in a while. I'm in Dallas. Originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana though. As far as your carpet is concerned, you might want to ask LexAtLast about it. He has black carpet in his that looks good from what I can tell in the pics. He says it was dirt cheap.
