Don't mean to hijack this thread, but are there any shops in San Diego area that can convert the 1st Gen shift gear for 2nd Gen or later model? This would enhance the interior of our 1st Gen quite nicely.

 

So...Anyone else redo there interior. Even 2gen pics are fine. My interior is gray and I was thinking a dark red or coffee color for the interior. I would really like to see if anyone has any pics.

as to interiors for these cars, i haven't seen too many people with radically different interiors. I've only seen people change the carpet, the seats, and the woodgrain (i changed my woodgrain to marble wood).

A red interior would look interesting, i don't think anyone's ever done it before (especially if Seize doesn't have a pic of it, he's got everything). I don't even think anyone's ever done straight black before in a first gen GS. Someone is doin it right now, but I won't reveal who unless he wants it to be a surprise.

I mean a dark red/maroon like in the S2000 or coffee color in the Audi.

 

I initially did a conservative suede insert in my OE 2GS seats:



The Suede matches the darker tone on the doors & dash.

Now I'm going to redo the entire seat with a bit more contrast in the insert and subtle blue stitching on the lighter grey portions (like the IS-F has).

Red or saddle might be kind of cool. What color is the exterior?

 

I have the gray exterior paint and gray interior. I was thinking about doing the front part of the seat the maroon color and the back part gray like the
S2000. I was also thinking of redoing it with the stock color and preforated down the center.
