Strange Paint Code
I needed some touch up paint for my 95 GS300 Touring. I put a nasty scratch in it and figured I would touch it up and save up a while for a total repaint. I did a local primer job to keep the rust from coming close but I got to put some base down before I begin to hate this car (I did buy it for its looks).
The trouble I am having is the paint and trim code seem non-standard even though the car looks like every other beige gs300 on the road. The paint and trim code on the door is S80/LF00 (C/TR). I am having trouble finding this code. Is it the same as 4M9? Whats the best places for touch up paint?

4M9 sounds like a gold color. However, the "lower cladding" paint code is not on the door-frame VIN; it's probably going to be something like UA###, UB###, or UC###...I forget exactly. If you go to the Lexus dealer, tell them you want the lower cladding color for 4M9, and tell them the model year. They can look it up in no time at the parts counter.
I'm not sure what the S80 (C = color) is, but the "LF00" after the TR (trim) means you have the Ivory-colored (beige) interior.
