Just bought a 95GS300 with 90k
Hey guys, I am totally new to Lexus and new to this forum. A quick hello and have a few questions. As it says in the title I just bought a 95, Gs300 with 90k. Its a nice clean car and i am loving it The only problem that I am having with the car is, the brakes squeek really loud once the brake is applied. I asked the dealer and he told me that he installed new brakes in the car and that is the reason they are squeeking. Any suggestions?
I am also geting 2 new tires because the rear 2 tires look in bad shape. I am looking to get the tires under $100.00 a piece. Which tires do you guys suggest I should I get? Thanks in advance for all your help and I am very happy to be part of the new family.

Welcome. Sounds like he installed them and never bed them in properly. There are different procedure for various pad manufacturers. I'd try doing 45-0 hard stops about 10 times to see if that gets the glaze or whatever is on your pads off. Obviously don't do this in a high traffic area.

Probably installed cheap pads. I also had a squeaking and a slight wobbling of the steering wheel when braking. I thought my rotors were warped but it turned our to be one of my calipers seizing up. I am passing this on cause I also bought my car around 90k.

in my experience, the only way to get your brakes to feel (and sound) like lexus brakes is to take it to a lexus dealer, i tried other shops that do it for cheaper, but for some reason it just never feels as good as when the dealer does it.
as for tires, dont go cheap, i always put i nice set of Michelin's on mine when its time. paired with the suspension of the GS, its like driving around a cloud, i love it. but if you do go cheaper, i would suggest Yokohama's i had those on before i started getting Michelin. they rock for the price

Congratulations on getting the '95 GS 300 and welcome to Club Lexus. Happy driving...
As far as tires I would go with Michelins. A bit pricey but they're worth it...
