EPiK wrecks.. pix and vid
ok, here is the video you DIDNT see from this past Wednesday. Trying to showboat and skin close to the wall with the rear bumper I got into some loose gravel and.. well, you'll see.

The car is a tank. Unfortunately I didnt have a chance to x brace the frame over the spare tire well yet, and if I did the damage would have been sheet metal alone probably. The rear doors still close, the strut towers havent moved. The trunk it self wasnt touched, neither were the lights. The back end of the car shifted a few inches to the right, but the wheels track straight.
I picked up a body shop sponsor as a result of this, thanks to Sonny's Auto Body in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Here's a few pix on the rack. Work hasnt started yet, but I should have it back the first of the week.
little kink at the base of the rear window on the L/R
inside the trunk on the L/R is a different story
back end shifted a few inches to the right. The trunk was still latched, I opened it with the key and it popped right up. Like I said.. TANK!
some pretty bad wrinkles here
Felt so strange leaving it at the body shop.. The first time anyone has ever touched it but me.. I did everything on this car...up til this point.

thanks for the sympathy guys. i'm not going to say i wasnt going to expect it..sometime.. it was just over 5 yrs of owning this car and that is the first time (drifted it from the first week i had it). I've had little bumps on the front end before, but I could fix that up.. now she's out of my hands.. for the first time.
i'm sure they'll do a great job though. i just hope i can still make my deadline for having it shot and decaled for the next event.

it is definitely a "bump in the road" but I'm not realy that upset about it. like i said, the car came thru it well and it you dont hit at least once, you are not pushing it hard enough.
i am taking a push broom to the track and sweeping that end though from now on..LOL
