Default EPiK drift 1st gen.. new stuff

This is a pic from a private demo me and a few friends did yesterday to try and secure a new venue.

There was video shot at the demo, should be up in a few days and I'll follow up here with it.

In the mean time.. Anyone recognize the front bumper?

Happy 4th of July!

i keep getting this response to the black out look.. i thought i was just being lazy..LOL i dunno maybe i'll make up some ducted headlight buckets to feed the air intake. the car probably wont be driven on th street anymore anyway.. now i need another one.

that looks great!

Did you replace all of your glass windows with Lexan?

If your not driving it on th street fill in the headlight and fog light with Lexan. On the side of your turbo, you can even create a funnel to direct more cooler air into your turbos.

*sniff*.. thanks Link, that means a lot

i cant wait to get the full car done and really get out there.. still have the body and cage to finish yet, and oh yea that pesky 5 speed swap keeps popping up..

i'll have to grab some interior pics and show you guys what i did to the ebrake pedal for this season.

still no more vid or pix footage of that demo up yet.. stay tuned.

wow Paul, we posted that at exactly the same time.. haha

yes i was thinking of making a headlight shaped funnel to feed a custom airbox for the twins on the passenger side and possibly moving the fluidyne oil cooler to behind the drivers headlight area and feeding it thru a funnel too.

the fog light holes will be trimmed out and smoothed to remove the mounting tabs.

havent done Lexan yet, i started to on the rear doors but got sidetracked. the front windows are still power for right now. i have a long list of things to do on the car, but since i just got back into competition mode with it i'm trying to plan short jobs that dont require too much downtime until the off season.

next up is the body and paint. have to get it looking presentable to rep the sponsors that have helped me get it this far and maintain it.. few shows coming up..etc.

Is that the admiriation front bumper?

I think you should throw the headlights back on so you dont have to get a new car, but just tint em. I saw a car with blacked out headlights yesterday, looked silly, but after seeing this car like that, I think it would look awesome!

Did yall secure the venue?

Yes, it was the Admiration front bumper. I removed the bar thru the mouth and made it a single wide opening. My first attempt at fiberglass working and it turned out great. I also made a set of canards from an old carbon fiber hood, only one is installed in that pic.

bumper before..

some during pics.. (camera phone..sorry)

and you already saw the final product.

i have a pair of jdm and a pair of usdm.. one of each is scraped up in some way. i'm thinking of making a fiberglass cast of the headlight and forming it into a funnel for the intake on the passenger side and the oil cooler on the drivers side.

My tought as well!!! I was going to modify the right headlight kind of like the Signal R34 headlight assy. I was gonna do that as an excercise and give it to you but hey, you gonna try it as well so go ahead! post the results!
