Wink Interior work: Color matching and tan to black conversion

Just as the title says, I matched all my interior woodgrain pieces to y exterior paint (1C0 Millennium Silver) and I'm starting to change the tan interior to black. I know this post is worthless without pics but my camera is down.... lol so hold on till tomorrow!!!!

My inspiration/theme is this JOB Design/Aimgain/Custom JZS147:

http://minkara.carview.co.jp/userid/...8/profile.aspx

It has a feature in the June or July VIP Car magazine. The car is a very good
mix of VIP/Sport and that is one of the reasons I like this car. On the mag there was a tiny interior shot and the car in general is pretty awesome.

I will be posting the parts that I'm doing and how to do it little by little.

Here are the initial pictures of this project:

Im going to convert the rear lights to ambience lights as well as adding a puddle light kit to the roof to add lightning/ambience to the car. This is what I intend to use along the roof to achieve that:

Will get them @ Elite AutoStyle

sorry for the initial crappy pics lol

slowly but surely

the prep is intensive. I did it in a couple porsche and muscle show cars @ Hoods Etc in Tucson AZ. You have to clean the surface quite a few times and spray an adhesive promoter. Also, I am using that ONLY on the bottom part of the dash (glove box and under the steering wheel) The dashboard will be perf leather with red or silver stitching.

This thread is great. I also Painted my shifter, about whether it looks tacky or not, it really does depend on the preperation and quality of paint, I painted mine black, I used a flat black (2 coats), becuase the glossy one looked tacky. Ill post pics soon. Anyways Kidzik You would be Automotive Jesus if you could post pics on how to get the damn dash off! Ive been wanting to change the color since I saw Epiks.
