Default Need rotor/pad recommendation

Hi All,
One of my rotors in the front is warped. Last time I had the brakes done, they were at the minimum thickness. So I'm going to replace them. I've searched the threads, but didn't find anything from this year. I saw something on Power Slot Slotted Brake Rotors:
http://www.buybrakes.com/store/716PSR
And another thread on COOLROTORS Dimple Drilled & Slotted Brake Rotors:
http://turboimport.com/catalog/lexus.htm

My driving is just normal street commuting, so no need for performance rotors/pads. I just want something reasonably priced with decent quality. What do you recommend?

Thx,
Jon

I recommend OEM i got my parts at Autozone, rotors were like $38 each, calipers $85 each, pads i think were like $19 that was for the front, you should have seen the problem i ran into, someone before me installed some other rotors, that were thinner and smaller, the pads were wearing over the rotor, and i had a really bad vibration, but now that i replaced everything it is like a differnt car..

Was that the Duralast brand? How long have you had them in? Any signs of new warping?

I read somewhere in the forum that aftermarket OEM equivalents were no good, but I've also read the opposite, like your reponse. So I'm a little confused. I'm concerned about using OEM and have been looking for something with a little better quality. But I don't really know if that's overkill. I just don't want to have to redo the brake job again in another 6 months.

Thanks,
Jon

I personally perfer OEM rotors or Premium OE replacements and OEM Lexus pads or Hawk HPS w/the anti-squeal shim kit from Lexus.

If you're going OEM, I'm a big fan of the Rotora rotors with Axxis pads (might be Axis), or Power Slot rotors and some type of ceramic pads for low dust.
