Exclamation hp+gas gain or scam?

i was lookin around for a air kit under 2k and i ran across this:

Or do you guys know of a better ecu chip?

to me it is not worth that expense since most likely it will be BS...

It's just a potentiometer. It interrupts the intake air temp sensor and deceives the ECU into believing it's cooler than it really is outside thus altering the calculation for the load map. You could do the same thing with a .40 resistor from radio shack but it's not worth it. If you want more timing, turn up your distributor to 14 degrees. It's free.

It seems like forced induction is the only way to get significant performance gains from these cars.
